how do we prepare for the end times?
This is the final part of a five part series answering “how do we prepare for end times?” If you haven’t read the previous parts of this series, I urge you to do so before reading this one. We’re taking the long way around to answering the question that made itself the title of this series, and to fully understand the context and where I’m coming from, I encourage you to start from the beginning.
As for those who have read the rest of this series, I look forward to finishing with you in our final point and answer to our long-awaited question:
How Do We Prepare for the End Times?
I would like to repeat my preface from Part Four and remind you all that I’m not writing this series to prophecy or tell you what is going to happen, nor am I writing it to tell you that my perspectives and theories of Revelation are the correct ones with any dogmatic certainty*. I’m writing this to help us prepare for the return of our King and Messiah who will come as a thief in the night.
where are we in god’s timeline?
This is part four of a five part series answering “how do we prepare for end times?” If you haven’t read my previous posts in this series, I urge you to do so before reading this one. We’re taking the long way around to answering the question that made itself the running theme of this series, and to fully understand the context and where I’m coming from, I encourage you to start from the beginning.
As for those who have read up ’til now, I’m sure you’ll be glad to know we’re nearing the end of our journey to answering the title’s question.
Where Are We In the Timeline?
Quick disclaimer: I have a feeling that of all the posts in this quick series, this one will rub the most people the wrong way, as this will be discussing Revelation from the perspective of my historicist views.
am i the only righteous one left?
This is part three of a five part series answering “how do we prepare for end times?” If you haven’t read the previous parts of this series, I urge you to do so before reading this one. We’re taking the long way around to answering the question that made itself the running theme of this series, and to fully understand the context and where I’m coming from, I encourage you to start from the beginning.
As for those who have read up ’til now, thank you! I hope you enjoyed them, and I hope you’ll stick with me as we ponder my next point:
Am I the Only One Left?
We all may know that title is an exaggeration, but sometimes it is difficult not to feel discouraged and down from the bad news bombarding you from all sides as you go about your day. From viruses to elections to loneliness, it’s been a hard year these past twelve months, and it can be difficult to actively remember we’re not alone in our walk with God.
what is evil?
This is part two of a five part series answering “how do we prepare for end times?” If you haven’t read part one of this series, I urge you to do so before reading this one. We’re taking the long way around to answering the question that made itself the running theme of this series, and to fully understand the context and where I’m coming from, I encourage you to start from the beginning.
As for those who have read Part One, let’s continue with the next point I’d like to hit:
What is Evil?
There is so very much evil spoken of in the Bible, and one blog post could never cover it all. Sins run rampant and humanity has cooked up near countless recipes to sin against our Creator. That being said, there are types of evil, and types of sins, and those types come with their own respective consequences, although all lead to death in the end. So while there are far too many evils to go over, I do want to talk about a specific kind of evil that is directly linked to part one of this series.
who is israel?
This is part one of a five part series answering “how do we prepare for end times?” However, before we answer that base question, we need to understand what we’re preparing for and why it matters to you and me specifically. Bear with me as I take a round-about way of explaining, as it’s necessary to know the context of our story up to now in order to know where we’re at and what to do next.
Who Is Israel?
Who is Israel really? Is it the Church, or God’s people from Moses’ time? Is it the remnant of more obvious Jews, or merely a country? Is there more to Israel yesterday, today, and forever than many believe?
